Osteoarthritis of the spine, also known as spinal osteoarthritis or spinal arthritis, is a condition in which the cartilage that cushions the bones in the spine wears down over time. This can cause pain, stiffness, and limited mobility in the neck or back. Treatment options include pain medication, physical therapy, hot/cold therapy, exercise, weight management, and in severe cases, surgery.
