Yes, juvenile arthritis (JA) can persist into adulthood and become a chronic condition. Some people with JA experience a remission of symptoms during adulthood, while others may have persistent symptoms or new onset of symptoms in adulthood. The course of the disease is highly individual and may depend on the type of JA, treatments received, and other factors.
