Who are physical therapists?
#1
Physical therapists, also known as physiotherapists, are healthcare professionals who specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. They use a variety of techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and assistive devices, to help their patients regain or improve movement and function.

Physical therapists work with people of all ages who have a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain, neck pain, and stroke. They also work with individuals who are recovering from surgery or are looking to improve their overall fitness and performance.

Physical therapists assess their patients' conditions, diagnose impairments, and develop individualized treatment plans to help their patients reach their goals. They also work with their patients to educate them on how to prevent further injury and maintain their physical health.

Physical therapists must complete a graduate-level program in physical therapy and be licensed in order to practice. They often work in outpatient clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and private practices, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
